A cellar made of wood

The Swiss company Timbatec Holzbauingenieure Schweiz AG is currently implementing such a construction project. Not only the basement, but also the floor slab of the apartment building will be made of wood. In this way, carbon dioxide can be stored and, compared to other building materials such as concrete, carbon dioxide emissions can also be reduced.
