The construction work of the new wooden production hall for SWG Produktion in Waldenburg is progressing further.

Earthworks for the 96.44 x 113 metre production building began in October last year. Now, 3 months later, construction is already progressing. The excavation for the complete foundation was carried out. Also the pits for the hardening shop and the loading area with integrated heating coils have already been concreted. At present, soil improvement work is being carried out using concrete tamping columns and the strip foundations are being constructed.

Also in the new year construction work and preparations are running at full speed. Last week the timber construction company SCHLOSSER started with the production of the bracing framework for our new production hall. Subsequently, the main beams are manufactured in building beech wood. Both the bracing framework and the main girders will remain visible from the inside after completion of the hall.

The current weather conditions do not affect the work, so that concreting could nevertheless be poured and work can continue according to plan. Therefore timber construction on the construction site is expected to begin in April 2019.
Further reports on construction progress will follow in the coming weeks and months on our news blog and the social media channels Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube and Instagram.
